Upon entering the hauz, noticed a new face amoing the usual line up, a big body Corolla. I already new there was something different about the car, from a quick glance you wouldn't miss the roll cage. Car maintained its stock 4A-FE engine but was tuned by japanese engineers from the Toyota casa. A TRD front strutbar and suspension takes car of the cars handling. A Toms transmission ensures that there is consistent power throughout the powerband. A toms harness also keeps you stuck on the bucket seat.
Stay tuned as we fix up our weekend track car :)

Project updates
Christmas is just around the corner and guess what the car isn't finished yet. The difference though is that the car has been moved to the close room so I guess focus is to finish the car. It or "Happy Lemon" now stands on 4 wheels. Just waiting for the paperwork so we can do a road test.Just a few more parts to bolt and should be ready before the dragon year.
The greenbox now in running condition while Pao's Z is next in line |
1320 Drag Race Clark
It has been quite a while since I updated this blog. Posting pics from the 1320 drag race. There was your usual mix of Honda's and a few retro's.

HKS track day x Drift
Haven't been able to update the page lately as been busy with things. This weekend we visited the HKS trackday @ the clark speedway which went hand in hand with the drift practice sessions by DMF.
There were a couple of R35 GTR's, Impreza's, Evo's and 4AG powered Corolla. The sound of VTEC was also in the air as there were a couple of Civics and Hazardboy's Integra.

Picking up the blue Z
Last Sunday we passed by the C6 road from Antipolo to Sucat to pick up the blue Z. The drive reminded me of an early San Fernando pampanga, 2 lanes surronded by greenery. Contrast to the quiet scene is a faint silhouette of Makati.
We towed the car using our portable tow rig.
The car comes with 15" ATS rims
The car off to the new home
Come with a personal SW

The Hybrid Z Project
When the 240z first arrived at the shop, we already knew that this was going to be a though project. The rust was really bad and the smell was that of a dead cat. Cockroaches lived inside the gas tanks and the the flooring was see through :)
This afternoon decided to visit the garage to see how the car was. From a quick glance you would already notice that the car was already stripped to the shell.
The stock suspension as well was taken out and an L300 front and rear suspension assembly was used instead to prepare for the power to be handled. The advantage of this was that the L3 was thicker and tougher than the original parts. Another option was to use the F&R suspension of a skyline but seemed to invole a lot of work.

Notice the new front suspension vs the old one located at the lower left of the picture.
Tin work has well has already started as well to freshen up the old panels.
The empty engine bay will soon host the 1JZ vvti motor to power the rear wheels Dori Dori!

Evolution of a Lancer update
Visited the car this afternoon and for the first time in 2 years I heard the car start. Contrast to my expectations, the car was rather quiet. A proper tune is still needed to make the car run smoothly.
To help stiffen the ride, a 6 point japan made roll cage was added. The cage follows the shape of the roof line and allows all interior parts to be installed. Only downside to this is that I wouldn't be able to put down my sun shades.
Just waiting for the side skirt clips and walboro fuel pump to improve the fuel supply. OEM mitsu 3 din gauges, safc and other electronic parts still to be installed.
