This weeks street art snaps

Perfect snap to match our Z feature :)

Evolution of a Lancer: Update

The car's engine cranks unfortunately there is a problem with the fuel pump. Off to 662 performance depot to grab myself a new walboro fuel pump :)

Enter the period of the Z

When my friend Pao told me he was looking for a nostalgic car as weekend warrior, a few names crossed our mind. Our top choice can be summed up in one letter ...... Z. Recently the S30 Fairlady Z has been gaining  popularity in the world of old school. 3 Z's even managed to be featured in the Rocketeer MTV.

"The Nissan S30 (sold in Japan as the Nissan Fairlady Z and in other markets as the Datsun 240Z, then later as the 260Z and 280Z) was the first generation of Z GT 2 seat coupe, and later (beginning in the 1974 model year) also 2+2 hatchbacks produced by Nissan Motors, Ltd. of Japan from 1970 to 1978. It was designed by a team led by Mr. Yoshihiko Matsuo, the head of Nissan's Sports Car Styling Studio." - Wiki

Our search for an S30 started through sulit.com.ph unfortunately we had limited choices as the car is quite uncommon. After giving up on the hunt, one of our friends called and said that her dad had one and said that they were willing to sell the unit.

Upon inspecting the unit, Pao tried to "talk" to the car unfortunately the aura he was looking for was not there. The car however caught the eye of Automach but that's a different story. We then spent the next 2 weeks looking for a unit and managed to find 2 more S30's in Q.C.

This time it was a different story, the car seemed to call out on us. Next day it was a done deal, the cars were then towed back to the home base :)

Stay tuned for updates with regards to the 3 Z's.
Those 15 x 10 Watanabes look damn good on the Z.

Future drift car?

Hidden treasure: Datsun 280Z

Have you ever wondered what were behind the closed gates of your neighbors? Walking around the village I usually have those questions in my mind. Last Sunday I happend to join my friend to visit a potential project car along Las pinas. Looking from the outside one would never guess that a Japanese classic chose this place to hibernate waiting for that time to be reborn.

Hmmmmm do I hear a 1JZ in a 280z? tempting hehehehehehehe.

Jons' ES Civic

The 7th Gen civic would be one of the harder versions to dress up, Jons however proved us wrong. Just a few years back, Jons had of of the cleanest EF civic on the road. When he had to let go of the car it was a tough act to follow. One day Jons happened to find a red civic ES posted on the net. Upon inspection, the car had much potential and quickly became his new weapon of choice. The car received its first upgrades through the form of DC headers, DC front strut bars and Sparco seats.

The car rolls on 17" Work CR-KAI's matched with work lug nuts. External upgrades also include a carbon fiber bonnet and FB chin. Under the hood minor mods add contrast to the engine bay. Thanks to Nok Sarinas for the pics.
